This total body activity requires coordination of several muscle groups to sustain the precisely timed and rhythmic movements that are integral to the exercise. Experience increased proprioception, dynamic balance, speed, quickness, agility, horizontal and vertical acceleration, gripping strength, bone density, reflexes, concentration, and mental alertness. When done properly, jump rope training provides dramatic cardiovascular improvements, rehabilitation, and improved sports performance.. Learn why rope jumping works, the biomechanics of safe jumping, how to master the skill, progressions, and sample workouts. Learn the evolution of Jump Rope and how to build Rope Capacity for learning techniques and programs, plus sample workouts used by Olympians.

Get fit with the system developed by Olympian Buddy Lee! Learn how to gain the same cardiovascular benefits as 30 minutes of jogging, 18 holes of golf, and 720 yards of swimming in only ten minutes of jumping! This session is for beginners with little to no jumping ability who want to get off to a safe start by learning the correct biomechanics, jump rope do's and don'ts, measurements, and how to become proficient in the two basic techniques that make up the foundation of all jump rope training programs. Concluded with a Buddy Lee Jump Rope Challenge!

Jump Rope Training Basics Level 2 (W/S)
Taught by Master Jump Rope Trainers


Jump Like a Champ and Get Fit Like Olympians Do! This class requires mastery of the two basic techniques taught in Basic Level 1 and a proficiency of 500 jumps. In this class, learn additional techniques and how to combine them into a cool, fun and low impact workout. You will learn how to build your jump rope capacity from 500 jumps to five minutes of jumping at varying speeds for high intensity workouts and training programs. Concluded with a Buddy Lee Jump Rope Challenge!
